Sushant death case: NCB reveals Rhea Chakraborty used her mother's mobile phone, chatted about drugs

The NCB has seized the mobile phone of Rhea Chakrbaorty's mother, Sandhya Chakraborty, which was being used by the actress.

India Today has accessed an exclusive information from the Narcotics Control Bureau that Rhea Charkaborty was using her mother Sandhya Chakraborty's mobile phone and chatted about drugs. The agency has seized the phone and retrieved data from it. The NCB said that Rhea didn't give this phone to the Enforcement Directorate when she was asked to submit her mobile phones.

The NCB seized the phone during the search of Rhea Chakraborty's home. Rhea was connected with her friends and other people through this phone. The actress was part of many WhatsApp groups on this phone. Many people of these groups are under the NCB radar now.

Rhea Chakraborty's mobile phones were seized by the Enforcement Directorate for money-laundering investigation. The agency released many chats of the actress during the probe. Rhea's WhatsApp chats with Jaya Saha, Shruti Modi, Samuel Miranda and Gaurav Arya indicated at a drug controversy in the case. The NCB then started investigating the case.

After three days of questioning, Rhea was arrested for allegedly arranging drugs for Sushant Singh Rajput. Rhea's brother, Showik Chakraborty, Sushant's house manager, Samuel Miranda, his employee, Dipesh Sawant and drug peddlers, Zaid Vilatra and Basit Parihar, have also been arrested by the NCB. The agency made many raids in the case after on the basis of information from Showik Chakraborty. He revealed names of many drug peddlers who used to supply him drugs. He had confessed to the NCB that he arranged hash and curated marijuana for Sushant Singh Rajput.

The bail pleas of Rhea Chakraborty and Showik Chakraborty, along with that of Samuel Miranda, Zaid Vilatra, Basit Parihar and Dipesh Sawant, were rejected by the Mumbai Sessions Court on Friday (September 11). They are under NCB custody till September 22.
