by

Fianna Fáil has slumped to its lowest-ever result in the latest political opinion poll.

The party is down five points to just 10% in the Red C poll for today's Business Post.

In October 2011, Fianna Fáil had just 14% support, which was up until today its lowest result in a Red C poll.

Fine Gael leads the way on 35%, followed by Sinn Féin on 27%, with both unchanged since the last poll in May.

Independents have gained three points to 10%, ahead of the Green Party which gained one point to 6%.

There was no change for the Social Democrats, who are on 4%, or for the Labour Party who are on 3%.

Solidarity/PBP are unchanged at 2%, while Aontú is up one point to 2%.

The poll was carried out between September 3rd and September 9th.

The margin of error is 3%.
