Rohit Pawar's scathing reply to Chirag Paswan for criticising Maharashtra

by

NCP leader Rohit Pawar has launched a scathing attack on Lok Janshakti Party national president Chirag Paswan for demanding President's Rule in Maharashtra and reminded him of the rising crimes in Bihar.

A few days ago, Paswan said that the law and order situation in Maharashtra is continuing to deteriorate and he is concerned about Biharis residing in the state.

He also said that demolition by BMC of Ranaut's property was an act of vengeance.

Responding to him, Pawar slammed him saying that the people of Maharashtra will never tolerate his attempt to sling mud at Maharashtra only for political interest.

"I heard that you are worried about law and order in Maharashtra and demanding that President's Rule be imposed. If you are so worried about the law and order, then why didn't you demand this (President's rule) when crimes against girls in the Muzaffarpur shelter home came to the fore in 2018. You had said then that such cases are coming out from many other districts, at that time you did not even demand Nitish ji's resignation."

Citing NCRB data, Pawar also said that Bihar's capital Patna is at the top among 19 big cities when it comes to the murder rate. "Patna's murder rate is 4.4, which is much more than Jaipur's 3.1. Patna is also top in killings of our sisters for dowry. Not only this, in 2018, five senior RTI activists like Rajendra Singh were murdered. Many journalists were killed. Killing of people by land mafia, burning houses are common in Bihar."

He also said that the killing of more than six officers shows what will happen to the general public, adding, " I wonder why your party is still in alliance with the ruling party."

Stating that it is easy to resort to rhetoric against Maharashtra in the tone of the actress who tried to launch her own political career, Rohit said, "It is sad that you are choosing the easy path for your politics. It is more sad because you must have felt Mumbai's affinity during your film career."

Earlier, when a news agency asked him whether Ranaut's support and Rajput's death case have been raked up for political gains, he said, "Kangana kaun sa chunaav lad rahi hai, (Kangana isn't contesting elections. She has been targeted for fighting for the truth. She is straight forward and blunt. This is a fight for a Bihari boy. Why is Maharashtra government afraid of questions?"
