There is nothing that Amitabh Bachchan can’t do. Adding another feather to his cap, the megastar has now become the first Indian celebrity voice on Alexa, Amazon’s digital assistant. The company recently announced its big collaboration with the 77-year-old actor.

The Bachchan Alexa, reports claim, will have services such as jokes, weather, advice, shayaris and motivational quotes. The users will have to pay for the service, which is set for launch next year. However, Amazon has said that one can get a taste of the experience by saying this to the Alexa-enabled device, “Alexa, say hello to Mr Amitabh Bachchan.”

In a statement, Mr Bachchan said, “Technology has always given me an opportunity to adapt to new form. Be it in movies, TV shows, podcasts and now, I am excited to create this voice experience in partnership with Amazon and Alexa. With voice technology, we are building something to engage more effectively with my audience and well-wishers.”

Bachchan is the second celebrity in the world to lend his voice to Alexa after Samuel L Jackson. While the Jackson Alexa is only available in English (US), Bachchan’s will apparently be in Hindi. It is not clear if the megastar will also speak in English.
