Huawei EMUI 11 supports video alarm and earthquake warning -

by

Huawei recently released its latest Android skin, EMUI 11. According to the company, EMUI 11 will support the smooth connection of video alarms when dialing 110 (police number in China). This means that you can make a video call with the police center and transmit live images in real-time. This way, the police can accurately grasp the situation. However, this feature is currently only available in one Chinese city – Guangdong.

At the same time, this system also supports earthquake early warning. When any surrounding earthquake occurs, the mobile phone will activate a pop-up window and sound the alarm. It provides a way for an early escape and also provides emergency shelter inquiry and medical assistance information. It will help users get timely assistance in event of an earthquake. Again, this feature is only available in one Chinese city – Sichuan.

It appears that Huawei is test running these features to how effective they will be before rolling it out for other regions. On September 10th, EMUI 11 was officially released at the Huawei Developer Conference. EMUI 11 and HarmonyOS emphasize “Distributed Technology” further breaking the hardware limitations of a single physical device. This feature uses software to define new device forms, and organically connects people, devices, and scenes. At the same time, HarmonyOS 2.0 devices realize linkage and interaction with EMUI 11, further promoting the 1+8+N strategy. Huawei also believes that this brings users a richer and exciting full-scene experience.
