Jeff Van Gundy Says It’s Clear Who The NBA’s Best Team Is
by Andrew HolleranThere are seven teams still alive in the NBA’s postseason. Jeff Van Gundy says it’s clear who’s the best out of that group.
The longtime NBA analyst think it’s “clear” who the league’s best team is as we head deeper into the postseason.
Van Gundy thinks the Los Angeles Clippers are clearly the NBA’s best team as we head toward the conference finals. The NBA analyst is extremely impressed with the Clippers following their Game 4 win over the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday night.
“They are clearly, to me, the best team,” Van Gundy said at the end of Game 4.
The Clippers’ defense stifled the Nuggets’ offense for most of the game. Denver rookie Michael Porter Jr. thinks his team needs to get more players involved.
“That is up to the playcalling, the coaches and whose hands they want to put the ball in,” Porter said. “We kept going to [Jokic] and [Murray] and they are two amazing players, but I just think to beat them we need to get more players involved. We have to move the ball a little bit better. We can’t be predictable against that team.”
Not everyone is a fan of what Porter Jr. said following the game, though.
It’ll be interesting to see how Denver responds in Game 5.
The Clippers are set to play the Nuggets on Friday night. With a win, they’ll advance to the Western Conference Finals.
