Bokaro reports 2 fatalities, 201 fresh cases of Covid-19
by PNSRise in COVID-19 cases continued unabated in Bokaro district, amidst a healthy recovery rate, with 201 new cases and two fatalities reported on Saturday.
Meanwhile, 309 people recovered and discharged from COVID hospitals after they tested negative for the Sars-Cov-2 virus for the second time and sent to their home after recovering fully, informed AK Pathak Civil Surgeon Bokaro.
“The total number of active cases rushed to 404 in the District. Two fatalities were reported at COVID Hospital Bokaro General Hospital (BGH) on Saturday. “Total death toll in the district hastened to 18,” added Civil Surgeon.
All the new patients who were tested positive for COVID-19 were transferred to COVID Hospital and their contact tracing is being performed, said Pathak.
According to figures released by district administration around 78 thousand samples have been collected so far in the district, reported 2721 COVID-19 positive, while the investigation reports of approximately 44 thousand samples are still awaited. All total 2119 were recovered in the district.
District administration issued infection-free certificates to the discharged patients along with medical kits. They were asked to remain in their homes in quarantine for 14 days.
