Craig Sager’s Son’s Tweet About The NBA Is Going Viral

A tweet from Craig Sager’s son about the NBA is going viral on Twitter on Thursday morning.

Late Wednesday night, Craig Sager II, the son of the longtime NBA reporter who passed away 2016, took a clear shot at the league his father used to cover.

Sager II is not a fan of the NBA’s social justice movements. He called out the league for supporting Black Lives Matter.

“The NBA is whack and it has nothing to do with my dad being dead & everything to do with black lives matter,” he tweeted.

Since the NBA returned in July, the league has been incredibly outspoken in supporting social justice movements. Players and coaches kneeled for the national anthem, brought up issues in postgame press conferences, wore Black Lives Matter shirts and sat out of playoff games.

“You haven’t watched the NBA in years, Craig. Why pop back in now just to spew this nonsense? What does this even mean? And why drag Dad into it?” Kacy Sager tweeted back.

“I’m not afraid of twitter. Go ahead. Cancel me,” he later tweeted.

“I could elaborate, but what’s the point? Goodnight.”

The NBA has been back since late July. The league is currently in the second round of the playoffs, with the Miami Heat having locked up one of the conference finals spots.

The Lakers will take on the Rockets in Game 4 of their second round series this evening.
