PSG support Neymar: "There's no place for racism"

by

After the controversy of Neymar with Álvaro González in the match between PSG and Marseille in Ligue 1, the club from the French capital released an official statement to position themselves next to the star. "There is no place for racism in society", the statement expressed.

PSG support Neymar in his anti-racist crusade. The Brazilian player was allegedly a victim of racial abuse from Álvaro González during the Ligue 1 'Classique' between PSG and Marseille. The club made clear they are with him in a statement.

"Paris Saint-Germain strongly supports Neymar Jr. who reported being subjected to racist abuse by an opposing player. The Club restates that there is no place for racism in society, in football or in our lives and calls on everyone to speak out against all forms of racism throughout the world", they said.

"For more than 15 years the Club has been strongly committed to the fight against all forms of discrimination alongside its partners SOS Racisme, Licra and Sportitude", PSG continued.

"Paris Saint-Germain looks forward to the LFP's Disciplinary Commission to investigate and ascertain the facts, and the Club remains at the LFP's disposal for any assistance required", they added.
