Tesla’s Supercharger Bug Lets Other Electric Cars Charge For Free In Europe

by

Tesla has launched its V3 Supercharger stations across Europe, and it is supposedly exclusive to Tesla models. However, the physical connectors are providing free juice to other electric vehicles as well.
Tesla stated that the new Supercharger stations were installed to provide higher-level connection, which offers 75 miles of range within five minutes of charging.
Tesla vehicles will need to do a software “handshake” with the Supercharger before it can begin charging. This handshake will link the cost to the driver’s Tesla account.

However, reports claim that the European stations fit into other electric vehicles, allowing the cars to use the V3 Supercharger for free despite the needed login process, per Electrek.
Some of the other electric cars that can use the Supercharger include the Porsche Taycan, BMW i3, and Renault Zoe.
