The NCRPO chief wants to intensify police operations against jueteng at the Southern Police District under PBGen. Emmanuel Peralta after reports of ongoing illegal gambling operations continue to surface in the area. The recent intensified campaign of the NCRPO resulted in the apprehension of several suspects, confiscation of gambling paraphernalia and cash. Violations of Presidential Decree 1602 were filed against the suspects in Muntinlupa City. Sinas reiterated that he will not tolerate jueteng operations and instructed the Southern Police force to arrest and file appropriate charges to anyone who will continue to engage in illegal acts.

"I will not hesitate to relieve officers with reported inactions for illegal gambling," Sinas said. Sinas warned that police personnel that do not take action on illegal gambling operations within their jurisdiction will be dealt with accordingly. Since he assumed his post at the NCRPO in 2019, several city police chiefs, Police Community Precinct (PCP) and unit commanders have been relieved of their posts over their failure to curb illegal operations in their respective areas following the PNP’s policy on illegal gambling.
