Virtual Events Center launched to help marketing efforts of charities and nonprofits

With charities, community causes and nonprofit organizations working harder than ever to reach donors, OneCause, an online platform for event fundraising, has announced its new Virtual Events Center for those three categories.

The platform allows nonprofit groups to easily manage virtual fundraising events, collect donations and develop content via live and pre-recorded video.

The Virtual Event Center also allows these groups to:

– Host auctions and raffles;
– Create donor fundraising challenges and gamification;
– Develop digital visibility and recognition for donors and sponsors;
– Community and human connection campaigns; and
– Produce pre-event and post-event communications and social events.

“COVID brought an immediate need for nonprofits to rethink how they power their missions and embrace new strategies to reach donors in a virtual world,” said OneCause Chief Executive Officer Steve Johns. “Nonprofit technology needs are changing, this tool will help nonprofits with engaging online experiences at their virtual events.”

Why we care. One of the many regrettable effects of the pandemic is a threat to funding streams for cause organizations. Here’s a sign that technology can be deployed to create new opportunities.

SureDone furthers presence on Instagram

SureDone, a listing, inventory and order management platform, has added to its eCommerce services by expanding its presence on Instagram. SureDone now offers checkout capability on Instagram to go along with its current presence on Instagram Shops, Facebook Shops and Facebook Marketplace.

SureDone’s multi channel platform connects with storefronts and marketplaces, including Amazon, Shopify and Walmart.

Their platform is integrated with a shopping cart feature and an eCommerce website where transactions can be completed in the seller’s separate webstore for cross-selling and upselling opportunities to increase revenue.

Why we care.  The evolution of eCommerce is unfolding in front of our eyes, accelerated by brands’ need to connect with consumers digitally.

TikTok expands AR platform through new partnership

TikTok will soon be offering a wide variety of branded AR experiences under its recently announced TikTok for Business Marketing Partner Program via partnership with Bare Tree Media. The goal is to use AR to build more engaged consumer experiences through targeted content.

Bare Tree Media is a provider of design and development for branded AR experiences within mobile messaging platforms. For the partnership Bare Tree Media will develop branded 2D and 3D AR features for current and new TikTok clients.

The partnership will allow marketers to access more dynamic tools to create, measure and advertisement campaigns and their performance.

Why we care. Video is already an essential component of engagement on mobile platforms, and especially for younger demographics. Brands looking to take the next step should consider AR.
