Apple to release new devices including 5G iPhones, new Watches and, iPad Air

According to sources, Apple is set to launch 75 million new 5G phones alongside new watches and iPads, later, this year.

In spite of the economic recession exacerbated by a global pandemic, Apple seems to be doing quite well, according to Wall Street statistics. Hugely surpassing Wall Street expectations, Apple shares have increased to 76 percent this year, making it the first US company to cross $2 trillion in market value. There is a strong demand for iPhones, iPods, and Mac computers during this COVID lockdown for individuals working or studying remotely, from home.

Apple might launch four new iPhone models in October – two basic and two high-end ones. The regular iPhones are supposed to come in size options of 5.4 inches and 6.1 inches, while the Pro devices will offer a choice of a 6.1 inch or 6.7-inch display which would make them the largest iPhone ever manufactured.

Besides iPhones, Apple is also planning to launch a new iPad Air with an edge-to-edge screen like the iPad Pro, two new Apple Watch versions, and their first over-the-ear headphones outside Beats. There is some talk of a new smaller HomePod speaker, too.

The new smartphones will have new square edge designs and the high-end Pro phones will use stainless steel edges while the cheaper alternatives will use aluminum slides. The larger of the Pro phones might have the LIDAR cameras of the latest iPad Pro, enabling the augmented reality apps to perform better. The new handsets are supposed to have A14 processors and allow high-speed functioning and efficient power consumption.

The new Apple Watch lineup will be a successor to the Apple Watch Series 5 and will replace the Series 3. A smaller HomePad and a new Apple TV box are also in the works, sources say.

Apple said, in a recent conference call, that the new iPhones are expected to start shipping a few weeks after Sept 20.
