Months after Cassie Randolph and Colton Underwood announced their breakup, which has been messy to say the least, Cassie reportedly filed for a restraining order against the former Bachelor.
Us Weekly confirmed the news, which was initially reported by TMZ. TMZ obtained the court documents, however, it's not clear why she filed for a restraining order today or if the judge had signed off already.
Cassie and Colton briefly broke up in 2019 after getting together during his season, but they called it quits for good in May 2020. At the time, many reports suggested that they split simply because Cassie wasn't ready for marriage. However, Cassie's friend and Bachelor alum Demi Burnett said she never explained why they split because she was so private about it.
As the summer went on, their breakup became complicated. At one point, Cassie accused Colton of trying to "monetize" their breakup. And in August, Colton accused the show of taking advantage of her and said Chris Harrison tried to make him seem like "this controlling or angry person." Nearly two weeks after his statements, they unfollowed each other on Instagram.
Again, it's not clear why Cassie filed for a restraining order or if any of this directly relates to her decision. We'll just have to wait and see how this one pans out and if Colton and Cassie release statements about it.
