Donkey in road causes fatal crash

NDJENE Norbert (37) on Friday died in a car accident while travelling from Outapi to Ruacana.

Omusati regional crime investigations coordinator Moses Malakiya says the crash took place at around 17h25 at Oshiputusheendjamba village in the Outapi constituency.

He says the deceased seemingly tried to avoid crashing into a donkey on the road.

"He lost control of the vehicle and collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle travelling from Ruacana to Outapi," Malakiya says.

Norbert's family has been informed of his death.

The occupant of the other vehicle was rushed to the Outapi State Hospital for treatment.

Police investigations continue.
