Remaining Croatians Troops Set to Leave Afghanistan

Total Croatia News reports, around 70 remaining Croatians troops are set to leave Afghanistan as the rearmost Canadian troops are preparing for departure.

Sunday, Croatian troops took part in lowering their nation’s flag at Camp Marmal in Mazar-e-sharif, Afghanistan.

the September 14th is marked as an official end of troop’s contribution to Resolute Support Missions in Afghanistan, also setting the day as the last Canadian troops are prepared to leave for home.

Nearly 100 of the Croatians in support of RS missions were stationed in Afghanistan, last year.

Reports shows, in the previous year roughly 8,475 US troops were engaged in supporting the Afghan Army and Defense Forces, of which 5500 of their soldiers were involved in counter terrorism missions, 8,673 allied troops were busy facilitating the mission, and 27,000 others were military contractor in support of the efforts.

Croatian troops came under an attack on July 23rd on their way to Camp Lyon, killing at least one Croatian soldier and several others wounded.
