Keynote speakers at the design and verification of electronics systems and ICs will include Vicki Mitchell, vice president of systems engineering at Arm and Dr Matthias Traub, head of architecture and technologies at Volkswagen. Mitchell will present The Benefits of Hardware DevOps and Traub will present Hardware/Software Codesign for Automotive Electronics – A Paradigm Shift.

These keynotes reflect the what DCVCon Europe’s general chair, Joachim Geishauser, describes as the ambition to strengthen the collaboration and interaction between software, hardware and system-level experts and “jointly develop the standards and methodologies required to design and verify the products of the future.”

The event will include virtual papers, tutorials and panels on system-level engineering and embedded software, advanced verification and validation, IP reuse and design automation, functional safety and security, and mixed-signal and low-power design and verification.  Special interest areas for this year are artificial intelligence (AI), hardware/software co-design, RISC-V, next generation automotive and 5G.

DVCon Europe will take place 27 and 28 October 2020, with SystemC Evolution day on 29 October. The event is sponsored by Accellera Systems Initiative, the independent organisation which creates, supports, promotes and advance system-level design, modelling and verification standards in partnership with the IEEE.
