It’s been more than 18 months since WWE fans last saw Ronda Rousey in the ring, and a lot has happened since then.
Back at WrestleMania 35, the former UFC superstar was seen in the main event losing to Becky Lynch in a triple threat match – also featuring Charlotte Flair – for both the Raw and SmackDown Women’s Championships.
Late last week, fans got the biggest hint to date that the Baddest Woman On The Planet could be making a return.
In a series of social media photos, she was seen training with the daughter of legendary WWE superstar “Rowdy” Roddy Piper – whose nickname she adopted for her UFC career – which suggests she’s working towards something of interest.

Teal and Ronda both shared the snaps of a training session with friends in California, and the latter wrote: ‘Missed being this kind of sore!’
Naturally, we don’t know for sure what she’s working towards – but it’s no surprise people are talking.
Does Ronda Rousey want to return to WWE?
That’s the big question – and one thing that’s certain is it won’t be on a full-time schedule at this point.
Ronda has explained: ‘No, I’ll never be full time again — over 200 days a year on the road like that ever again. I needed to do it in order to learn and get immersed into it and really understand what’s going on, but it’s just not the lifestyle for me.’
There’s also the issue of her previous comments, after she hit out at ‘ungrateful’ WWE fans and suggested they were a big part of her walking away when she did.
She said earlier this year: ‘What am I doing it for if I’m not being able to spend my time and energy on my family, but instead spending my time and my energy on a bunch of f**king ungrateful fans that don’t even appreciate me?’
Does WWE want Ronday Rousey to return?
The short answers is yes.
Ronday Rousey is a big draw for WWE and a genuine crossover superstar, and boss Triple H has made it clear the company is keen to work with her again after the commitment she showed during her first year as a wrestler.
‘Of course, we want her. Of course, we do. One of the greatest performers for us ever,’ he told TMZ Sports. ‘We still have a great relationship on everything [with Ronda], and when she is ready, absolutely [we’ll have her back].’
Watch this space, then.
