A major new has emerged n the Sushant Singh Rajput case as Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB)'s crackdown in its drug probe into the actor's death appears to be rapidly progressing. On Sunday, 13th September, arrested six more individuals based on its investigation. All six accused are form Mumbai and have been identified as Karamjeet Singh Anand, Dwayne Fernandes, Sanket Patel, Ankush Anreja, Sandeep Gupta and Aftab Fateh Ansari, revealed an NCB official, which now takes the number of people detained in Sushant's death case up to sixteen. They've been booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

As per the NCB official, Karamjeet Singh Anand is a drug supplier with a local distribution network in the film industry while Dwayne Fernandes, who deals in curated marijuana and hashish, appears to be an associate of Showik Chakraborty, brother of actress Rhea Chakraborty, both of whom were arrested earlier by the agency. Fernandes is suspected to have supplied drugs to Sushant Singh Rajput.

On the other hand, Sanket Patel seems to have been an employee of Anand while Sandeep Gupta is touted to be a former auto-rickshaw who would supply weedin bulk to retailers like Fernandes, added the official. He also pegged Ankush Anreja to be an associate of Gupta and Aftab Fateh Ansari, a restauranter in a posh locality in Mumbai, from where he used to sell weed, hash and other contraband to high-profile clients.

Earlier, Sushant's driver revealed to Republic TV in a sting operation that Rhea was swindling his money and running riot at the actor's home. “Rhea Chakraborty handled his (Sushant Singh Rajput's) finances, swindled money. Rhea took charge of the house and was firing the staff. Rhea controlled Sushant's finances. The staff used to tell me that it is 'Rhea Raj' in the house. Rhea made Sushant's driver, Rajat (another of the actor's drivers; we're can;t say at this point how many drivers he did have), do her father, Indrajit's, duty. Whenever we called, she said, 'Sushant is sleeping.' How much can one sleep? Which means she kept giving something to him,” said the driver.

Sushant's case is certainly heating up.
