Kangana Ranaut, the acclaimed actor who recently locked horns with the Shiv Sena, reached her native home in Himachal Pradesh on Monday. She was in Mumbai earlier this week where she met Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshiyari prior to her return.

In Himachal Pradesh, Ranaut has been home quarantined for a period of 10 days as per the state government's Covid-19 guidelines for arrivals.

During her visit to Mumbai, the actor visited her office in Pali Hill which was demolished by the BMC. Kangana has claimed that her office was demolished by Mumbai's civic body owing to her feud with Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut.

The two exchanged barbs after Ranaut accused Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray of allegedly trying to influence the probe into actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death.

The Shiv Sena took strong objection to her remark where she compared Mumbai to "Pakistan-occupied Kashmir".

A notice was also sent to Ranaut over unauthorised construction at her residence in Khar first pointed out by the BMC in 2018. The demolition of her home was stayed by a Mumbai court earlier this month.

On Monday, Ranaut said in a tweet, "Basic problem of Maharashtra CM is why I exposed movie mafia, murderers of SSR and its drug racket, who his beloved son Aaditya Thakeray hangs out with, this is my big crime so now they want to fix me, ok try let's see who fixes who!!!"

While CM Thackeray has not responded to any of the actor's claims, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut has criticised the BJP for backing Ranaut. In the latest edition of its mouthpiece Saamna, the party had said, "Underestimating Mumbai is like digging your own grave".
