Head Coach is the most important part of the coaching and support staff system of a team as this coach plays a vital role in the communication system between the players and coaches and support staff.
Here we are talking about the salaries of the Head Coaches in IPL 2020
Mahela Jayawardene (Mumbai Indians) – INR 2.25 crore

Former Sri Lankan captain Mahela Jayawardene is the Head Coach of the most successful IPL winning side Mumbai Indians. He is handling the Head Coach post of this side since IPL 2017, and during his coaching tenure, the four-time IPL winners Mumbai Indians have won two IPL trophies (2017 and 2019). In the upcoming cash-rich tournament, Jayawardene’s boys will participate as the defending champions.

Despite the huge success as the Head Coach, Jayawardene is one of the lowest salaried Head Coach in the IPL 2020. According to the recent media reports, his present salary is US$280,400 (INR 2.25 crore).
Trevor Bayliss (Sunrisers Hyderabad) – INR 2.25 crore

Former Australian domestic cricketer Trevor Bayliss is one of the successful coaches in the cricket world. He has replaced Tom Moody for the Head Coach role of the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and the IPL 2020 will be his first assignment with this team.

Earlier, from 2012 to 2015, Bayliss was the Head Coach of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). During his coaching tenure, KKR won the IPL 2012 and IPL 2014, both under Gautam Gambhir’s leadership. Bayliss was also the Head Coach of the England cricket team between 2015 and 2019, and during his tenure, Eoin Morgan-led England won their first-ever Cricket World Cup trophy in the 2019 edition.
Though Bayliss is one of the high-rated coaches in the world cricket, his salary as the SRH Head Coach is currently in the lower category among the all other present Head Coaches of the IPL teams. His present salary is reported US$280,400 (INR 2.25 crore).
Andrew McDonald (Rajasthan Royals) – INR 3.4 crore

Australian coach Andrew McDonald replaced Paddy Upton for the Head Coach role of the Rajasthan Royals team for the IPL 2020. Earlier, he was the bowling coach of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) while he is still the assistant coach of Australia men’s national cricket team.

After winning the inaugural IPL tournament (2008), Rajasthan Royals have never reached the final of this cash-rich league for another time. The team is hoping for the better result in the upcoming IPL 2020 under the new Head Coach McDonald.
According to the media reports, McDonald’s present salary as the Head Coach of Rajasthan Royals is US$476,680 (INR 3.4 crore).
Brendon McCullum (Kolkata Knight Riders) – INR 3.4 crore

Former New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum, who started his IPL career serving for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the first game of the IPL history, is now the Head Coach of KKR. After Jacques Kallis left the Head Coach role of the KKR after the IPL 2019, McCullum has been appointed for this role.

McCullum is also the Head Coach of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) team Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) and his team will play the CPL 2020 final against St Lucia Zouks on Thursday (10th September). In the ongoing CPL 2020, Trinbago Knight Riders have won all their 11 matches of this tournament.
According to the media reports, the salary of the KKR Head Coach McCullum is US$476,680 (INR 3.4 crore).
Ricky Ponting (Delhi Capitals) – INR 3.4 crore

Former Australian two-time World Cup-winning captain Ricky Ponting is handling the Head Coach role of Delhi Capitals (DC) since 2018. In the last season, the Delhi franchise hugely improved in their game and finished as the third-best team in that tournament.

Delhi Capitals Head Coach Ricky Ponting’s present salary is US$476,680 (INR 3.4 crore), according to the media reports.
Stephen Fleming (Chennai Super Kings) – INR 3.4 crore

Former New Zealand captain Stephen Fleming is handling the Head Coach role of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for a long time. Fleming is handling this role since the IPL 2009. During his long-term coaching stint for this team, CSK have won three IPL tournaments and two Champions League T20 trophies. Moreover, CSK have never finished below the top-four position in an IPL season.

As a Head Coach of CSK, Fleming’s salary is reported US$476,680 (INR 3.4 crore).
Simon Katich (Royal Challengers Bangalore) – INR 4 crore

Former Australian cricketer Simon Katich is the present Head Coach of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). While RCB finished in the last position in the IPL 2019 points table, they ended their journey with the Head Coach Gary Kirsten and appointed Katich in this role. Before this new journey, Katich was the assistant coach of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

According to the media reports, Katich’s salary for the Head Coach role of the RCB is US$560,800 (INR 4 crore).
Anil Kumble (Kings XI Punjab) – INR 4 crore

Former Indian Test captain and Head Coach Anil Kumble is currently the Head Coach and Director of Cricket Operations of Kings XI Punjab (KXIP). Last October, Kumble was appointed for these roles after the previous Head Coach Mike Hesson parted ways from the team.

According to the media reports, Kumble’s salary is US$560,800 (INR 4 crore). He is the only Indian who is holding the Head Coach post among the present IPL teams.
