QC, Pioneers Academy launch online platform for training employees

Doha: Qatar Chamber (QC) has signed an agreement to provide online training programmes for employees with Pioneers Academy, which owns one of the largest electronic training platforms in the Arabic language in the region. 

In line with the requirements of the digital transformation, the agreement aims to offer a platform for electronic training for citizens and expatriates at all sectors, especially for those who are working in the private sector. 

The platform is a regional platform with high technological capabilities and is developed by a number of experts and specialists. 

In a statement, QC General Manager Saleh bin Hamad Al Sharqi (pictured) said the programme aims to develop skills of employees from the government and private sector, noting that a series of online specialised training programmes will be offered in many areas including administrative, financial and technical fields. He added that the platform will contribute to developing and supporting the private sector to meet the requirements and needs of the Qatari local market. 

Al Sharqi pointed out that a large number of people, government, public and private agencies will easily get an access to these online training courses that depend on the use of modern technologies. 

Pioneers Academy CEO Dr Mostafa Al Affouri underscored the importance of signing the agreement with Qatar Chamber, expressing the hope to maximise the joint cooperation with the Chamber in online training in a way that meets the needs of Qatar’s labour market and the private sector. 

Pioneers Academy was established in 1993 and is one of the largest electronic training and educational provider institutions in Jordan, offering a comprehensive range of training and developmental solutions to both individuals and corporate professionals locally and regionally. 

Pioneers Academy systems are applied in many educational, government and private business sectors around the Middle East region. It is used in more than 130 schools and universities with American and British systems and dozens of government institutions, ministries and private business sectors, where the e-education and training system has been developed to be a gateway for the management of the education, training and development system in an integrated manner. 

This includes all parties to the education, training and development process, from educational, training, guidance and supervisory staff, to the student, trainee or merchant. 

The types of courses offered through the platform are the result of research and studies on the needs of the Qatari market, in parallel with the pillars of the Qatar Vision 2023 strategy. 

In addition to the objectives of the Qatar Chamber and the data and studies obtained in cooperation with the private sector committees in the chamber. The online courses are presented in two types: live streaming and recorded courses. 

The trainee receives international certificates from most of these courses as soon as they are completed. Special training packages tailored to the needs of each sector will be prepared separately with the possibility of tailoring individual packages to third parties.
