Vaccinations against West Nile Virus urged

INLAND EMPIRE – (INT) - Spraying for disease-carrying mosquitoes has been undertaken in Moreno Valley and Nuevo.

Public health concerns over West Nile Virus is spreading beyond the Inland Empire.

At least six horses have tested positive in recent weeks for the virus. It includes two in Riverside County, three in the Central Valley and another in the Sierra foothills.

Two of the horses have died.

Veterinarians are reminding owners to have their animals vaccinated.
