Sushant Singh Rajput death case: NCB makes multiple arrests in drug probe
The Narcotics Control Bureau arrested various drug peddlers from Mumbai and Goa while probing the drug angle in Sushant Singh Rajput death case.
by Arvind OjhaThe Narcotics Control Bureau, on Saturday, arrested Karamjeet Singh Anand, Dywan Anthony Fernandes, Ankush Arenja, and Chris Costa among others while probing the drug angle in Sushant Singh Rajput death case. The NCB recovered Ganja and Charas from Karamjeet. Dywan was arrested from Dadar (West) Mumbai and 500 grams of Ganja was recovered from him. The NCB conducted multiple raids across Mumbai and Goa. The raids were led by Sameer Wankhede.

The raids were conducted on the basis of the information provided by Anuj Keshwani, who was arrested by the NCB after Kaizan Ebrahim disclosed his name. Kaizan Ebrahim had said that Anuj Keshwani was his supplier for the contrabands. Kaizan is reportedly the middleman between Anuj Keshwani and Karamjeet. Kaizan Ebrahim aka Jaison was arrested by the NCB on September 3. He was believed to have been in touch with Rhea Chakraborty's brother Showik Chakraborty.
The NCB is expected to arrest more people in the upcoming days. Karamjeet, Zaid Valitra, Anuj Keshwani and Ankush Arneja are on the top of the supply chain, sources say.
Karamjeet had allegedly supplied drugs to Sushant Singh Rajput through his cook Dipesh and manager Samuel Miranda more than ten times. IndiaToday has exclusively accessed CDR records of arrested drug peddler Zaid Valitra and Karamjeet.
As per Zaid Valitra's CDR records, he was in touch with Samuel Miranda. The records show three calls exchanged between Zaid and Samuel. The conversation in these calls is over 72 minutes.
The CDR records also show that Samuel Miranda was in touch with Karamjeet from September 24 to March 17. There were 17 calls between them with over 300 minutes of conversation. Zaid's CDR records also show Rishab Thakkar's number. On the other hand, Karamjeet's CDR records has numbers of Bashir Parihar and Karan Arora.
Ankush, who is 29 years old, was arrested from Powai. He allegedly received contraband from Karamjeet and also supplied it to Anuj Keshwani, who is already under arrest by the NCB. 42 grams of Charas and Rs 1,12,400 /- have been recovered from Ankush.
Chris Costa, who deals in chemicals, was arrested from Goa. He allegedly supplied drugs to Anuj Keshvani.
The NCB had earlier arrested Rhea Chakraborty, Showik Chakraborty, Dipesh Sawant, Samuel Miranda, Zaid Vilatra and Basit Parihar for allegedly arranging drugs for Sushant Singh Rajput. Zaid and Basit are drug peddlers who provided drugs to Showik. The Sessions Court rejected their bail pleas on Friday (September 11).
