Man Narrates How Sars Officers Kidnapped Him, Forced Him To Pay Them N300,000
by Faderera FaladeA forex trader to Lagos has narrated his experience in the hands of SARS officers who allegedly kidnapped him on his birthday and extorted the sum of 400,000 Naira from him.
According to the trader, Gilbert, it was his birthday, so he decided to take himself out.
He however said he was accosted on his way to Victoria Island by SARS officers who stopped him and requested for his phone.
He said they further asked him what he does for a living and then bundled him into their van.
He said he was then taken to a location he wasn’t familiar with and threatened to withdraw 2 million Naira and pay to them.
He said he threatened that they would take him to Panti, if he doesn’t comply and no one would hear from him again.
He noted that they eventually agreed to collect 300,000 Naira and since he couldn’t withdraw the entire amount from his bank, he withdrew 298,000 Naira and gave to them.
He shared a photo of one of the alleged officers involved and also screenshots of his the transfer he made as proof.
He then tagged activists as he asked them to help him get justice.
