Lowland League to announce 2020/21 season fixtures
It's the day fans have been waiting for as the fifth tier gets set for the big kick-off next month
by Paul Thomson, https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/authors/paul-thomson/The Lowland League will unveil their fixtures for the 2020/21 campaign today.
Fifth-tier chiefs have been hard at work plotting how the new season will shape up and all will be revealed for Lanarkshire sides East Kilbride, Cumbernauld Colts and Caledonian Braves later in the day.
Defending champions Kelty Hearts will be determined to hold on to their crown and will face a hectic start to the season, given their involvement in the Betfred League Cup group stages during October and November.
And Barry Ferguson's side are likely to face strong competition from big-spending EK, managed by Stevie Aitken, and the likes of East Stirlingshire, BSC Glasgow and Spartans.
Their will be a number of midweek fixture cards for clubs to contend with as the league try to squeeze a full 32-game season in before next summer.
The league announced last night they would be releasing the fixtures today, but a time has not been released, so keep your eyes peeled!
