President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday, September 14, appointed four new permanent secretaries into the federal civil service.

Daily Nigeria reports that the head of the civil service of the federation, Folasade Yemi-Esan, made this known in a statement issued on Monday, Septemeber 14, in Abuja.

Legit.ng gathered that the statement was signed by the director information, office of the head of the civil service of the federation, Olawunmi Ogunmosunle.

The newly appointed permanent secretaries included Sule James from Kaduna, Abubakar Ismaila from Kebbi, Patricia Roberts from Rivers and Shehu Shinkafi from Zamfara state.

He noted that the head of the civil service said the swearing-in and the deployment would be announced in due course.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had previously reported that President Buhari appointed some top members of the executive cabinet into the Special Purpose Vehicle for Presidential Power Initiate (SPVPPI).

It was reported that the appointment was approved by the president on Thursday, September 10, as contained in a statement from the office of the ministry of justice.

Members of the committee include the attorney general of the federation Abubakar Malami (SAN), the minister of finance, budget, and national planning, Hajia Zainab Ahmed.

Buhari also appointed minister of power, Saleh Mamman, and minister of works and housing, Babatunde Fashola, into the special committee.

In another report, President Buhari approved the appointment of a provost and Medical Director (MD) for the Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Aro, Abeokuta, Ogun state.

The report said that his appointment as medical director through a letter dated Tuesday, August 11, and issued by Olorunnimbe Mamora, the minister of state for health, indicates that Agboola's initial term of four years takes effect from July 27, 2020.

Agboola was the immediate past head of SERVICOM and Quality Improvement Services at the hospital before his appointment as the provost and medical director.

He qualified as medical doctor with Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery back in 1998 from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun state, and holds a Masters in Public Health with Management Option at the same institution in 2016.
