India is celebrating Hindi Diwas today. It was on September 14, 1949 when Hindi was adopted as the official language of the Republic of India. Hindi Diwas is not just about celebrating the beautiful language that Hindi is but also about reminding every Indian out there of its importance. While a host of Bollywood celebrities including Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Anupam Kher and Manoj Bajpayee marked Hindi Diwas with heartfelt posts on social media, the team of Mirzapur also celebrated the festival with a special video.

With the video, the team Mirzapur attempts to teach you some chaste Hindi words spoken by the characters of Ali Fazal, Vikrant Massey, Pankaj Tripathi and Divyendu Sharma. The words include Bhaukaal, Kantaap, Vishuddh, Bawaal, among others. While these words are mostly used in certain parts of Uttar Pradesh, these have become immensely popular in other parts of the country, thanks to shows like Mirzapur.

Below, watch the video:

It has been nearly two years since the first season of Mirzapur premiered on Amazon Prime Video. However, its popularity has remained intact. It would not be wrong to say that it has become an important part of the OTT culture in the last two years. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that the second season of the show is being eagerly awaited by fans. Well, a little over a month is left before the Season 2 will start premiering. The date is October 23, 2020.

Mirzapur is a stylish yet rustic world, where crime, drugs and violence rule and one needs to fight to survive. The Season 2 of the show will also feature ace actors such as Vijay Varma, Priyanshu Painyuli, and Isha Talwar. The series is created and produced by Excel Media and Entertainment.
