Near-district level Hospitals in Ayeyawady now treating COVID patients
by Min Thu Win HtutPATHEIN-Hospitals in Ayeyawady Region that are nearly at a district level are now treating the COVID-19 confirmed cases. If the number of COVID patients will increase, preparatory measures to receive more COVID patients are being carried out at the Nursing &Midwifery Training School in Pathein, says Dr Than Min Htut, Medical Superintendent from Pathein District People’s Hospital.
At present, Pathein District People’s Hospital is being filled with the COVID-19 cases.
“There are a total of 22 COVID-19 cases in Ayeyawady Region. Except Laputta Hospital, all district level hospitals are now treating the COVID-19 cases. 22 cases are good conditions. There is no one case in the ICU. The Public Health Department is now tracing the local contact. We have Plan A, Plan B and Plan C. Plan A has seven beds. We aimed to add 14 more beds at Plan B. Now, Plan A is filled with the COVID-19 cases. As the room of Plan B is wide, we are going to add more 10 beds at the Plan B’s room. So, there will be 24 beds at Plan B. If the room of Plan B will be filled with the cases, we have Plan C. Plan C will be implemented at the Nursing and Midwifery Training School in Pathein. Now, staying at Home order is very important. But, people crowd the Tea Shops and Beer Bars. So, there has been local contact. We would like to urge the people to follow the rules and regulations of the Ministry of Health and Sports,” said Dr Than Min Htut.
The Ministry of Health and Sports today announces that the number of COVID-19 cases in Myanmar has reached 3,015 and 24 deaths.
