Simon Jordan doubles down on Ryan Fraser comments in second attack on Newcastle United signing
The former Crystal Palace owner called the ex-Bournemouth star 'a wretched individual' last week
by David ByromSimon Jordan has doubled down on his controversial comments about new Newcastle United signing Ryan Fraser.
The former Crystal Palace owner last week branded Fraser 'a wretched individual' over his decision to leave Bournemouth early last season.
Whilst he has now apologised for calling the new Magpies man a turd following an angry reaction from Steve Bruce, Jordan told talkSPORT that Fraser was 'a narcissistic swine'.
He said: "My comments were really motivated, more than anything, by the fact he had the audacity to come out and talk about things posthumously – that Bournemouth would have been better off if he had played and it would have been easier for him, the narcissistic swine, if they had stayed up.
"Brucey is hardly going to come out and say, ‘I’ve signed a rat-bag’, is he?
“He’s going to defend what he’s got and Steve is very good, he’s a very loyal manager to his players and if he turns around and says, ‘Simon’s got a point’, Mike Ashley is going to say, ‘Why did we sign him, then?’
"There are two sides to every story, I get that, but I still feel the bottom line is Ryan Fraser didn’t want to play at the back-end of the season at a pivotal time for Bournemouth.
"And this is not somebody who has been at a club for five minutes, he was a Bournemouth for seven years, been on a journey with them, has been kept in the mix and hasn’t been replaced by bigger players.
"Then, to go on and have a sideways conversation with Eddie Howe and say in the public domain that they would have been better had he played and they would have stayed up, I think that’s pretty shocking."
