Svilar out of Champions League qualifier due to COVID-19
by BeSoccerBenfica will not be able to play Mile Svilar in the match against PAOK Salonika in the Champions League qualifier. The goalkeeper has tested positive for COVID-19.
Benfica announced this Sunday that Belgian goalkeeper Svilar, 21, has tested positive for coronavirus and he is out of the squad for the match with PAOK next Tuesday. That is a Champions League qualifier.
The club have announced that as well as the goalkeeper, Jardel (right knee sprain) and Samaris (Achilles tendinitis) will also miss the fixture.
Benfica are finalising preparations for the Champions League clash away to PAOK on Tuesday in the third qualifying round.
