Officials Discover Ammunition Warehouse at Hospital
by Mohammad Arif ShevaKABUL, Afghanistan – Afghan security officials discovered an ammunition warehouse at Al-Zahra private hospital in Nangarhar province, local authorities said Monday.
Farid Khan, spokesman to Nangarhar police, said Khaama Press on a phone interview that at least 413 arms, including various bullets, have been discovered from the hospital.
According to Khan, this ammunition has been stored for years, assuming during the civil war in Afghanistan, and have now been discovered by security officials.
The discovery includes dozens of armed weapons, rockets, mortal shells and grenades.
While official started renovating the hospital and building additional facilities, workers discovered the warehouse, reported security officials.
Previously, security officials have reached to similar discoveries from different parts of the country, as it is said to have been stored during the war in Afghanistan.
