Toyota PH wants to give 2021 Hilux customers peace of mind with free 20,000 km PMS

Thinking of buying the 2021 Toyota Hilux or Hilux Conquest? Well, Toyota Motor Philippines is giving interested customers a more compelling reason to buy one.

To give new buyers peace of mind when it comes to aftersales, TMP announced that customers that purchase an all-new Hilux will benefit from free preventive maintenance service (PMS). That's right, customers will not have to pay anything for up to 20,000 km when they buy the 2021 Hilux.

According to Sherwin Lim, the first vice president for Vehicle Sales Operations at TMP, the free PMS offer for the 2021 Hilux is good for up to 2 years. This will allow customers to focus more on what they need to do instead of having to budget themselves whenever the scheduled PMS date looms.

With COVID-19 still posing a problem for everyone in the country, not having to think about the cost of PMS will surely help customers that need a new pick-up truck.

Besides Toyota, other brands have also been offering free/extended PMS coverage. Just recently, Mazda extended its free PMS service from 3 years to 5 years. It covers both parts and labor and can be retroactively implemented for Mazda cars bought from April 2020 and later.

Chery Auto Philippines is also offering a 3-year free PMS. The free service includes the replacement of oil, air, and fuel filters, brake fluid, transmission oil, and a complete checkup of the car's engine, suspension, transmission, and the like. In addition, owners are only required to bring in their vehicles to the service centers only twice a year (or every 10,000 km), lessening the downtime required for PMS.

In review, the 2021 Hilux gets a refreshed look inside and out, along with new and standard technology. From Apple CarPlay to Android Auto connectivity, to improved safety kit across the lineup, the Hilux is now packed with more features than before. 

The top-of-the-line Conquest 4x4 trim benefits from a more powerful 2.8-liter turbo-diesel. When fitted with the automatic transmission, the pick-up makes 204 PS along with 500 Nm of torque. The manual version of the Conquest also makes 204 PS but torque is down to 420 Nm.

Lesser variants, on the other hand, continue to be powered by the 2.4-liter turbo-diesel. The Conquest 4x2, G, and E models make 150 PS with 400 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the J, FX, Cargo, and Cab & Chassis variants put out 150 PS and 343 Nm of torque.
