Chelsea will miss the services of three of their new arrivals when they face-off with Brighton & Hove Albion in their Premier League opener on Monday, September 14.
Blues fans have no choice but to wait a little longer to watch Hakim Ziyech, Ben Chilwell and Thiago Silva in action.
Frank Lampard recently confirmed the trio will miss the tie, with both Ziyech and Chilwell injured.
Ziyech is understood to have suffered a knee injury against the very same Brighton during a pre-season friendly.
Chilwell, on the other hand, is nursing a heel problem he carried from former side Leicester City.

Mateo Kovacic is the other player sure to miss the clash as the midfielder is currently suspended.
However, despite the absence of the quartet, Lampard is sure to parade a strong side to catapult Chelsea off a flying start.
Predicted Chelsea starting XI vs Brighton:
Goalkeeper: Kepa Arrizabalaga
Defenders: James, Zouma, Rudiger, Alonso
Midfielders: Loftus-Cheek, Kante, Mount
Forwards: Havertz, Pulisic, Werner
The Englishman already has a wealth of options to pick from, with both Cesar Azpilicueta and Christian Pulisic back from injury.
Kepa Arrizabalaga is in line to start between the sticks alongside Reece James, Kurt Zouma, Antonio Rudiger and Alonso at the back.
Loftus-Cheek, Mason Mount and N'Golo Kante could be drafted in the midfield, with Kai Havertz, Pulisic and Timo Werner leading the attack.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has lashed back at Jürgen Klopp following his claims on the Blues' spending this transfer window.
The 42-year-old has successfully landed the likes of Kai Havertz, Timo Werner, Thiago Silva, Ben Chilwell, Hakim Ziyech, and Malang Sarr this summer - spending about £200 million, and counting.
Lampard defended the London club with all the signing having failed to bring in players in the last two transfer windows due to the ban placed on them by FIFA.
