Watch: Ballymun Win Over Kilmacud Ends With Huge Scrap On The Pitch
by Gary ConnaughtonBallymun Kickhams have secured a place in the Dublin SFC final after their win over Kilmacud Crokes, with tempers becoming flared at the end of the contest.
Ballymun would run out 1-18 to 2-12 after a very tense game, one which featured two missed penalties and a couple of late red cards.
The crucial moment in the match came just before injury time, with Cathal O'Tighe scoring a goal to extend their lead to five points.
Things would become heated directly after the incident, with Ballymun pair David Byrne and Leon Young receiving their marching orders after a number of scuffles broke out when Ballymun attempted to press high for the kick-out directly after that goal.
You can watch the incident below.
Barring successful appeals, those two players will now miss the final.
Pat Burke would get a late goal for Kilmacud but it would not be enough as they fell to a two-point defeat.
Speaking after game, Ballymun manager Brendan Hackett said that while he didn't see the incident, the club will likely appeal Leon Young's red card.
At that stage I was watching the defence, so I actually didn't see. With the cards at the end, I don't know what happened...
I'm not sure about the Leon one. I was looking at the backs and I'd say that will be appealed because I can't understand what Leon's was for. I didn't see anything.
