Mike Ogbolosingha, a Port Harcourt-based comedian turned politician, has reportedly passed away.
The former chairman of Yenagoa local government area died on Sunday after a brief illness in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa state capital.
Fellow comedian, Julius Agwu, took to his official Instagram page to share the sad news, expressing shock and heartbreak over the death of his colleague and former classmate.

Ogbolosingha until his death, inspired some of the popular entertainers in the entertainment industry in both Port Harcourt and Bayelsa.
Asides his life as a comedian and politician, he also lectured at the University of Port Harcourt and is survived by his wife, Chime Ogbolosingha and their children.
Only a while ago, the Yoruba entertainment industry was thrown into mourning as yet another movie actor died.
Singer and Yoruba movie actor, Yusuf Satia, was announced dead by fellow actor, Kunle Afod. The news was shared via his Instagram page on July 21, 2020.
Also, it was a sad time for the Nigerian movie industry following the sad passing of actor Gbolagade Akinpelu popularly known as Ogun Majek.
The veteran movie star who is known for his role in Yoruba movies was announced to have died on Thursday, June 25, at his Imalenfalafia residence in Ibadan, Oyo state.
In other news, the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has launched an HMO plan for its members. According to a post shared to their official Instagram page, it is a collaborative effort with Medicard Health Management, the approved official HMO and Health Management Services Provider of the AGN.
