“I’m amazed!”: Coomera man one of two Gold Coast lotto winners

by

Two Gold Coasters are more than $620,000 richer after sharing the Division One jackpot in Saturday’s Gold Lotto.

And one of them might not even know it yet.

The pair was among eight division one winners across the country on Saturday, each pocketing a tidy $621,499.92.

A retiree from Coomera had no idea of his win until contacted this morning.

“I’m amazed! I’m absolutely flabbergasted!” he told officials from The Lott.

“This is absolutely brilliant. You’ve made my day!”

The man plans to treat himself to a piece of cake when he heads out for his morning coffee today.

But he also plans to spoil himself with a new car and will start planning a big trip around Australia for when travel restrictions ease.

The second Gold Coast winner is yet to come forward to claim their prize.

The winning entry was sold at Carrara Village Newsagency but was unregistered so officials have no way of contacting the lucky person.

Gold Coasters are being urged to check their tickets and contact The Lott if they hold the winning ticket.

The winning numbers from Saturday night were 31, 28, 12, 39, 36 and 27 while the supplementary numbers were 6 and 24.
