Samsung users address fingerprint-scanning issues in their Galaxy tablet

by

Nowadays, a fingerprint scanner is quite a significant tool that modern smartphone and tablet companies try to mandate in their models. Meant for unlocking, the earlier forms of securities such as pin, password, pattern, face-recognition has finally been substituted by a more advanced and faster system of security unlocking with the introduction of the finger scanning sensor. Not only is it faster but also cool from a technological perspective.

Samsung, a premium brand with global recognition, was one of the first brands to bring forth this type of modern technological tool. With the incorporation of finger sensors on their smart mobile, it now has become a trendsetter for every newly emerging smartphone company.

But just like every side has its pros and cons, it seems that the fingerprint sensor has gotten its drawback. For Samsung specifically, such a disadvantage is drawing negative feedback from the customer.

There have been many issues with fingerprint scanners that people have put up in a more generic sense when it comes to smart devices. But people have shown specific concerns with the Samsung tab S6 when it comes to the various issues and problems faced by them for the device failed to properly scan the fingerprint. One of the customers has addressed this issue over his public forum along with many others:

Many users have also reported their issues starting with 20% fingerprint loading right after the recent update has taken place. The problem never existed in the first place which has suddenly surfaced after a firmware and software update.

The Samsung fingerprint issue had been quite a recurrent subject since March 2020 as many customers have faced the same issues but it seems Samsung is quite ignorant about it. Out of angst, an user comments:

Samsung doesn’t care about this device for some reason. There is no fix and there hasn’t been one since they broke it over 6 months ago. At this point I’m thinking about reporting them for false advertising as they are still advertising this with a fingerprint scanner without disclosing its not working and since its been over six months they can’t claim its an accident.

This ignorance is quite nerve-wracking as another user also has focused on Samsung’s reluctance to look into this matter:

Samsung Does. Not. Care. The ‘ambassadors’ here do but they’ve no special access or power to get anything done.

It seems that this problem has resurfaced in s5 and s9 as well. The Samsung customers have reported that they are facing this fingerprint issue or bug right after the next day of their purchase, while some buyers are hesitant to buy the tab due to this issue.
