Woman ejected in Sarasota County crash dies from injuries

SARASOTA, Fla. — According to Florida Highway Patrol, a 41-year-old Port Charlotte woman died in a car accident on I-75 in Sarasota Saturday afternoon.

Trooper say the accident involved four cars traveling north on I-75.

Investigators say the 41-year-old woman crashed into the rear of the three vehicles.

Troopers say the driver was ejected from the car, and transported to Sarasota Memorial Hospital where she died.

The crash remains under investigation.
