191 Covid cases surface in Dhanbad
by PNSRecord 191 corona positive patients were detected in Dhanbad according to health department report issues on Saturday late night.
While 127 have been detected during the special RAT camp organised at different locations remaining were found during tests conducted at different laboratories.
With this now altogether 928 patients are undergoing treated at different covid hospitals in Dhanbad. District has witnesses Covid 44 deaths till now.
The health authorities have detected that the prevalence rate at select locations has crossed 4% . At one location Mines rescue station Dhansar where tests were held on Saturday out of 477 tests 21 were detected positive. This amounts to 4.40% according to health officials.
The number of positive cases at two different camps on Jharkhand - West Bengal borders yielded 24 positive cases. All together 1050 samples were collected at aforementioned two locations , according to the report.
The special camp at National Highways no 2at Maithon and Chirkunda checkpoint located at Nirsa both on borders connecting West Bengal have been setup on directive of Dhanbad deputy commissioner(DC) Uma Shankar Singh.
At both these locations all willing to enter Dhanbad from West Bengal have to undergo corona test.
The high prevalence rate has forced administration to hold camp on daily basis at 60 sensitive locations of district.
