15-year-old succumbs to COVID-19 in Oman
by Times News ServiceMuscat: A 15-year-old child succumbed to COVID-19 two nights ago, His Excellency Dr. Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Health Affairs has said.
His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Saif Al Hosni, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Health Affairs, spoke with Al Shabiba Radio about the latest developments and indicators related to COVID-19 in the Sultanate, “Deaths in the Sultanate focused on the elderly who are over the age of 60, and on the other hand, the youngsters were not spared, two nights ago a child, aged 15, died and he did not have any prior diseases."
He completed, ”We have also recorded many deaths of those in their twenties and thirties. Those falling in this age range are not safe, even though they do not die, they do remain in intensive care."
“Intensive care is not a cakewalk. Rather, one has to avoid and many of these youth have had to receive intensive care,” he added.
