After a row of speculations, Rupal Patel, who is famous for playing the role of Kokilaben in Saath Nibhaana Saathiya, has confirmed being a part of Season 2 of the show.

Owing to the recent popularity of the TV daily soap Saath Nibhaana Saathiya, courtesy the viral Rasode Mein Kaun Tha video, the makers have decided to come out with Season 2 of the show. At the starting of this month, they also dropped the first promo of the same starring TV actress Devoleena Bhattacharjee as Gopi Bahu. Fans also wondered if one of the other famous characters, Kokilaben, played by Rupal Patel would make her comeback or not.

Earlier, reports suggested that she had been replaced by another actress for the show. Although Rupal earlier denied being approached for Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2, she has now confirmed her return to the upcoming show. Talking about the same in her recent interview, Rupal shared that the show is just incomplete without her character Kokilaben.

Talking to Mumbai Mirror, the actress confirmed her return and said, "There cannot be SNS 2 without its Koki." Further talking about her role which is of a strict mother-in-law, Rupal shared that she received immense love from the audience for her righteous portrayal. "Of course, I’m a lot more flexible and fun. But even today, young girls tell me that they want a mother-in-law like Koki," she concluded.

Meanwhile, the new promo has received a thumbs up from the viewers. As per the video shared by the makers, Devoleena aka Gopi Bahu, is talking about a new character named Gehna. Fans are now intrigued to know who she is.

While Devoleena and Rupal have confirmed their return, there have been speculations whether Kokila's son Ahem Modi, played by Mohammad Nazim, would reprise his role or not.

Saath Nibhaana Saathiya was first premiered in 2010 and continued to rule the small screen for seven years. The saas-bahu drama, that ended in 2017, successfully completed a whopping 2k plus episodes.
