SLEX, Skyway, NAIAX, STAR, TPLEX use the Autosweep RFID system, and these can be installed at select toll gate offices and even off-site locations such as service stations. But if you intend to drive on NLEX, SCTEX, CAVITEX, C5-Link, and CALAX, you need Easytrip.
Thankfully, the operators of those expressways have adopted several ways for motorists to get one; the most convenient being Stick-It Yourself kits available at select toll plazas and, of all places, Shopee.
We thought it would be interesting to try purchasing one on Shopee, so we logged on to try to add one to cart and check out. But just as we were about to order a few sets the Stick-It Yourself kits through Shopee, there was a strange issue: we couldn’t buy one.
No, it’s not an issue of stock as there were still 704 pieces available at the time we checked out the listing. The reason is: This seller is currently on vacation.
That's a bummer. Looks like we'll have to wait until the seller gets back from vacation.
We checked, and yes we were looking at the correct post listed by the official Easytrip Services Corporation Shopee page. According to the listing, they have already sold around 13,300 units since they first joined Shopee three months ago.
For reference, the Easytrip Stick-It-Yourself RFID can be used for NLEX, SCTEX, CAVITEX, C5-LINK, and CALAX. At the moment, there is no way to use the Easytrip RFID for expressways that use the Autosweep system. However, the opposite is possible (using an Autosweep RFID and connecting it to Easytrip) albeit a bit complicated. We will be doing a quick feature on how to install both and Easytrip and Autosweep RFID tag soon, so sit tight.
Unfortunately, you can’t purchase an Autosweep RFID from Shopee just yet. What you can do is visit the numerous Autosweep installation sites which you may check out here. Meanwhile, for those who frequent NLEX, SCTEX, and CAVITEX, we suggest you go to any installation site or purchase the Stick-It-Yourself kit from one of the tollbooths.
