Hey everyone, I’d like to share with you the biggest artistic undertaking of my career: today I published my first book, a collection of MMA art & essays, The Fine Art of Violence, Vol. 1.

From January 1st to December 31st of 2019 I watched every event and cataloged the fighters and moments that deserve to be remembered. Along with the 100 drawings are ten short essays by the author & one time fighter, Josh Rosenblatt, who was my editor when we worked together at Vice.

Each chapter is a weightclass, and I’ll publish a sneak preview of one chapter on BE today in a separate article. The book is available as a signed & numbered limited print edition and also as a digital download.

I hope you will pick up a copy and find that this is the beginning of something special for the sport. The early reviews have been great and I’ve secured six well regarded writers to contribute to Volume 2.

Tale care of yourself and I’ll talk to you Wednesday.
chris.
