1,662 Patients Treated at Covid-19 Emergency Hospital in Jakarta

Jakarta: The Covid-19 Emergency Hospital at the Kemayoran Athletes Village in Central Jakarta has announced that as many as 1,662 patients are currently being treated at the health facility.

"They consist of 845 males and 817 females," the Joint Regional Defense Command (Kogabwilhan) I spokesperson Marine Colonel Aris Mudian said here on Monday.

"There are 1,661 confirmed covid-19 patients and one suspected covid-19 patient," he added.
The hospital received 11 additional patients today. The number of patientas at the covid-19 emergency hospital was 1,651 yesterday.

The Jakarta provincial government officially started Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) today. The policy aims to lower the covid-19 hospitalization rate in Indonesia's capital.

Jakarta Special Capiral Region previously implemented PSBB measures for around two months from April until June. The city then changed its policy into Transitional PSBB in early June.
