Purify the Undead in Dark Metroidvania ‘Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights’
by Mike WilsonWe can always use more Metroidvanias, right? Japan-based publisher Binary Haze Interactive seems to think so. They’ve announced Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights, a dark fantasy action game coming to consoles and Steam this winter.
The story for Ender Lilies concerns Lily, the last surviving priestess in a land devastated by an endless rain that turns people undead. Awakening in a church with no memory of recent events, Lily turns to exploring beyond the safety of the sanctuary to find the source of the rain. Along the way, Lily can summon the spirits of purified undead to protect her.
The big draw for Ender Lilies is the music by musical group Mili, which has worked on games as well as anime franchises such as Goblin Slayer and Ghost in the Shell.
