Brexit: UK will not withdraw draft bill despite EU warnings, Gove says – video
Brexit negotiations are at risk after the UK refused to withdraw legislation that EU leaders have said may trigger sanctions because it allows Britain to breach the withdrawal agreement.
After a meeting with the European commission vice-president, Maroš Šefčovič, Michael Gove said the UK would not withdraw the legislation and it was 'absolutely serious about implementing the Northern Ireland protocol'.
Šefčovič had told Gove the bill had 'seriously damaged trust between the EU and the UK'
