Samantha Akkineni extends sympathies to Rakul over report on drugs - Telugu News - IndiaGlitz.com
Last week, Rakul Preet Singh's name was mentioned by a national news channel in a report on the drugs case pertaining to Rhea Chakraborty. The channel claimed that the Narcotics Control Bureau had been told by Rhea that Rakul and Sara Ali Khan are consumers of drugs.
On Sunday, the NCB categorically denied the report, saying that it had not got any list of actors. This has come to be seen as a moral victory by Rakul Preet's supporters.
No less a star heroine than Samantha Akkineni has extended support to the 'Sarrainodu' actress. She took to Instagram and posted a series of stories in her support. "Don't judge a book by its cover," so says one of the stories, with the image of a smiling Rakul accompanying the quote.
#SorryRakul has been floated on social media as a mark of extending an apology to the actress for the "wrong" reportage. The actress has stayed mum on the whole controversy.
