This dramatic image shows the damage caused to a Ford Fiesta after a suspected drink driver drove it into a wall in Derbyshire.

Officers from Derbyshire Roads Policing Unit were called to the incident which they said took place on the A632 in Chesterfield.

Members of the force say the driver suffered "not a single scratch" in injuries. Officers posted the picture on social media site Twitter.

Their tweet reads: "A632 Chesterfield.

"Looking at the state of this Fiesta you'd expect serious injuries, but the drunk driver suffered not a single scratch.

"Also grateful the wall he destroyed as he binned it on a slight bend wasn't an incoming vehicle. Arrested. #Fatal4. #DontDrinkAndDrive."

The Roads Policing Unit of Derbyshire police works to reduce road casualties, fight criminality, combat anti-social road use and toprotect the vulnerable.
