Report: West Ham and Crystal Palace told how much Aaron Ramsey would cost
by Will ButcherItalian outlet CalcioMercato have claimed that Juventus are considering whether to cash in on midfielder Aaron Ramsey this summer and are ready to accept bids as little as £23million – amid interest from both West Ham United and Crystal Palace.
Ramsey, 29, only joined Juventus from Arsenal on a free transfer last summer – to the despair of Gunners supporters. Since then, he has clocked up 35 appearances for Juventus but has struggled, scoring only four goals for the Old Lady.
With Andrea Pirlo replacing Maurizio Sarri as manager, it remains to be seen if the 60-time Wales international has a future at Juventus. The report states Juve are considering a sale, given they landed the former Cardiff City man on a free transfer.
The report states that Juve will consider offers in the region of £23million and £27.75million, while also suggesting that West Ham and Crystal Palace are front runners for Ramsey’s signature. Such a move would be rather ambitious, though.
TBR’s view – Could Ramsey be tempted with Premier League return?
The Welshman finally found his feet towards the end of the season and is likely to want to stay at Juve to prove to the supporters he has what it takes. But if Juve are to cash in, the Premier League is his likeliest destination.
However, a team outside of European football will have to do plenty of convincing – not least because he is earning enormous wages at Juve. West Ham and Palace could have a chance given their London location, but a move is unlikely.
